After several months of negotiations, Jarrett Construction has signed a contract to build a 1,750 sf second floor addition, and renovation of the original 2nd floor of the Charleston Surgical Hospital. Upgrading the Hospitals services offered, the need for additional patient rooms, and a larger waiting area, has turned into a complete second floor remodel including Registration area, patient rooms, directors office, nurse’ station, and doctor locker rooms of 15,000 sf. In expanding the Jarrett Construction areas of specialization, this will mark our 2nd project in Hospital work, after several medical facilities. Located in Downtown Charleston, this will be another local neighborhood project less that 5 miles from the main office. Project starts the second week of February and should complete by October.

Project Description:

New construction consists of a 1,750 sf steel framed addition to the 2nd floor of an existing hospital. Renovation work will be a complete second floor remodel of the original hospital that include a larger waiting area, has turned into a complete second floor remodel including Registration area, patient rooms, directors office, nurse’ station, and doctor locker rooms. This project will be done in Phases, starting with the shell of the addition, then renovation and construction of the Admitting and Waiting, then moving on to patient rooms. After that half of the hospital is complete, renovation of the second half will begin with recovery rooms, and doctor locker rooms. The project is expected to take 9 months of construction.
