Charleston, West Virginia – October 11, 2012 – Jarrett Construction has been named the 2012 winner of multiple categories of the annual Associated Builders and Contractors Awards of Excellence in Construction Program. 2012 marks the ninth consecutive year that Jarrett Construction has been recognized with EIC honors.
Jarrett Construction Services will be honored at the 2012 Excellence in Construction Awards Dinner on October 17 for excellence in construction in three categories. In the “Commercial, under $2,000,000” category, the project for Moses Honda Volkswagen in Huntington, West Virginia is taking top honors. The Norfolk Southern Yard Office construction project in Williamson, WV has won for the category of “Commercial, $2,000,000-$5,000,000.” The first floor of the new Norfolk Southern building is on “stilts” to mitigate against flooding of the Tug River. In the Historical Restoration under $25 million category, the renovation of the Raterie Residence is the winning project. Jarrett Construction has received EIC honors for historical restoration projects in recent years for similar projects such as the High Gate Carriage House in Fairmont, West Virginia.
The West Virginia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is the only trade association representing the merit shop community.
